Alumina – Zirconium

alumina 2

We are specialists in producing parts starting from high purity metal oxides as Alumina Oxide (Al2O3)
and Zirconia Oxide (ZrO2). In comparison with the traditional ceramics, these materials present high
resistivity to the wear out and an effective response to the chemical attack.

Alumina, also called aluminum oxide, synthetically produced aluminum oxide, Al2O3, a white or almost colorless crystalline substance that is used as a starting material for metal aluminum smelting. It also serves as a raw material for a wide range of advanced ceramic products and as an active agent in chemical processing.

Zirconium oxide (ZrO2, also known as zirconium) is a material with very high resistance to the propagation of cracks. Zirconium oxide ceramics also have very high thermal expansion and are therefore often the material of choice for joining ceramics and steel.
